This year we would like to invite participants between the ages of 12-17 years old who are in a general education science class and have an interest in computer games. Everyone is welcome to participate. If you have participated in the robotics camps, you are eligivle to participate for the new camp. This project is for participants who have a diagnosis of ASD and also for participants who are typically developing. If you have a child in this age range who is interested in computer gaming, please give us a call at 631-5729 or email us at email@example.com and say that you are interested in the “Computer Game Creation Camp.”
Communication and Family Relations Project. The Communication and Family Relations Project is currently recruiting participants for a new program that focuses on the unique strengths and challenges faced by families that include a child with an intellectual or developmental disability. We are looking for couples who are married or cohabitating, with a typically developing adolescent between the ages of 11 – 17 and a child with any type of intellectual or developmental disability (including ASD) who resides in the home. Families will be asked to visit the Shaw Center for Children and Families or Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church between 5 and 7 times over the course of a year to complete questionnaires, have discussions as a family, and receive research-based information about family communication and relationships. Visits will last between 1 and 2.5 hours each, and families can receive as much as $295 for their participation in the project. For more information, please call us at 574-631-5729 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
