Denise Fulton
Territory: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Warren, Wells, Whitley

Denise fell in love with music as a seventh grader and honestly thought after college she would be singing Mozart on the stages of the Met in New York.  Midway through college, she realized how much she loves helping people. Denise became philanthropy chair of her sorority and activity director of the student council, and switched her major for vocal performance to business and music. She decided to join a non-governmental organization and do her part to make a difference in the world. After college, Denise joined that Peace Corps and served in South America for almost 3 years. When she returned home, she initially entered this field as a means of paying bills, but has stayed because she enjoys the work we do with people with disabilities.

Denise has learned that advocating for people doesn’t always equate to what she thinks is best for them.  Advocating is all about listening and being able to find a balance of the wants and needs of the person, guardian, team and the company. She has learned that the initial goals that she may have in mind for others are not always what they want for themselves and she needs to listen and ask questions in order to break hopes and dreams down into achievable goals.

Denise has sincerely loved and enjoyed helping people with disabilities over the past five years.  She enjoys using her skills to see people achieve goals and to ‘work herself out of job’.

Angela Price
Travel Territory: Fulton, Kosciusko,Marshall,Wabash

Angela's experience with persons with disabilities began through fitness classes she taught at the YMCA. One of the students who began attending a Zumba class would come with her caregiver. We developed a relationship and she and her caregiver began coming to my weight lifting classes as well. This weight lifting class is smaller and more individually focused so it enabled the student to use coaching to acquire new skills and accomplish her goals better. These experiences over the last several months increased my desire to protect and advocate for people who cannot fully do so by themselves.

Although Angela started her college experience at Purdue University in the field of Pharmacy, once I began taking classes, I realized that I was in the wrong field and switched to Social Studies Education. She married a Warsaw native, whom she met on a blind date. Now married almost 14 years, they have 3 elementary aged children. Angela has a love of fitness and have been a runner for most of my life. She also teach several Zumba classes and a weight lifting class at the Warsaw YMCA, and loves to stamp and create cards for my loved ones.
